How far in advance should the service be booked?
For one-day events, two weeks are generally sufficient; for congresses with several booths or travel abroad, one month is advisable. Urgent requests are assessed in any case.
What is the difference between simultaneous and consecutive?
In simultaneous interpreting, the interpreter translates while the speaker talks, with a booth or tour-guide equipment, and the duration of the event is unchanged. In consecutive interpreting, the speaker pauses at intervals and the interpreter delivers the speech: no equipment is needed, but the time doubles. The choice depends on format, participants and budget.
Is a second interpreter necessary?
For simultaneous interpreting beyond two hours, professional standards require two interpreters working in turns. The choice of booth partner is coordinated directly.
How are confidential documents handled?
Every assignment is covered by a duty of confidentiality; material is retained only for the duration of the preparation and then deleted. Non-disclosure agreements prepared by the client are signed on request.
How is the cost calculated?
For interpreting, the rate is per day or half day, plus any travel expenses; for translation and revision, per standard page or per word, depending on sector, urgency and volume. The quote is free and itemised.
